This is great -- thanks! If you do get a chance to watch A Night of Knowing Nothing, I cannot recommend it strongly enough. It's self-aware, politically engaged, blends documentary footage and fiction in super interesting ways. It particularly resonates with me because of my background, but even without that I think it's an exceptional film.
I was bummed to find that one currently in the land of wind and ghosts availability-wise, but I'll look out for it before year-end lists actually need to be constructed.
Ha. Yeah, I should have thought about that a bit more. Nice effort from our guy, no? (Looking at your grid, I'm somewhat deflated to see you "walking out" of so many films I like from this year. We're at odds!)
Don’t forget about the many acclaimed films I watched to the end but still did didn’t like, or like that much. (Vortex, Nope, X, After Yang, Both Sides of the Blade, Everything Everywhere, Northman, Crimes of the Future, Apollo 10.5…) Hopefully my jams are forthcoming.

Was relieved to read on and find that “Juuuuuust a bit outside” signifies, like, #11 and not what it does in Major League.

"... and a #1 that runs a generous 217 minutes."
I'm pretty sure BULLET TRAIN was only 127 mins? Probably a typo.
BULLET TRAIN is one of those movies that's too cool and edgy to enjoy critical consensus, alas.
