So what are the good Elvis movies? I remember loving Jailhouse rock scene as a kid. But other than that I’ve never dive into his catalog of films.

Me responding late here, but Blue Hawaii actually pretty good. Elvis plays scion of rich family in Hawaii who has come home from Army and just want to relax on beach; Angela Lansbury is terrific as his disapproving mother. And for Elvis movie, it deal with surprising amount of race and class issues, as while Lansbury scolds him for hanging around on beach with his friends, behind that is that she disapprove of Elvis dating Hawaiian girl (regretfully but unsurprisingly played by white actress, Joan Blackman), and want him to end up with white girl from country club set.

Soundtrack is about what you'd expect — one or two highlights and some filler, but one of those highlights is "Me Not Can Help Falling In Love With You," and scene in movie is magical, as he sings it to charm paramour's grandmother, but is really singing past her to his lady. It one of those moments where you realize, of course every girl was in love with Elvis.
