Interesting, it's not available on the seemingly useless Paramount+ Canada ($5.99 CAD/m for Survivor). I'm curious how the presentation looks, JustWatch says it is HD, I'd be surprised if it is anything beyond an upscaled DVD?
The P+ version looks just fine. But the film has a fairly modest look to it. It's very innovative aesthetically, but it will survive an okay-looking presentation.
Something else that should sound familiar to Americans in 2021 is the title itself, given that Donald Trump’s go-to putdown of any intelligent woman he perceives as a threat is to call her “nasty.”
This sounds really interesting. I've found Paramount + (which I only subscribed to watch new Star Trek shows I inevitably find disappointing) to have one of the better libraries of the recent crop of services. It does a great job it, though.
Saw this one when it when it came out and again in a German film class, and it made a big impact at the time. I think I scored points on a paper by expounding on the army made of chocolate. It was a good intro to the distancing techniques of other filmmakers, and was a good compliment to studying Brecht. Haven't thought of it in a while, though.
you've convinced me I really want to see this, but... Paramount+?
It's rentable on Amazon and Vudu, too, FWIW.

How did I not think of this!

It does a great job of hiding it, though*

Thrilled to be reading your stuff again, Scott!
Thanks, sir. Glad to have you aboard.
You've got me really kicking myself for having missed MoMA's virtual screening of o.k. earlier this year: https://www.moma.org/calendar/film/5280
Is there a better argument for an annual subscription to the Reveal than this piece?
Looking forward to you potentially returning to the "New Cult Canon" Scott - was a formative influence on my taste in movies.
Definitely in the works, but not quite on the calendar. So much going on right now in movies.
Probably best saved for the Jan/Feb dry spell I'd imagine
