SPOILER
the 2012 documentary THE IMPOSTER, which I love very much and always thought would make the basis for a great thriller. You can look up the plot synopses of ORPHAN: FIRST KILL and THE IMPOSTER on Wikipedia if you want to know the twist.
I was reading the Wiki synopsis and was also reminded of THE IMPOSTOR. Like Scott says it's not exactly the same, but the broad strokes are there. Interestingly, it's not about that documentary's "plot," exactly, as much as it is about the fake bullshit the titular impostor-- a malicious serial liar-- tries to make up about his situation.

Shocking twist!!!

I love THE IMPOSTOR, but I don’t think it’s quite one-to-one twist-wise
Well I read the wikipedia summary and y'know it's just not as good as having a movie's ridiculous twists relayed to me by my favorite critics. SIGH.
