September 5th is also seemingly having distribution issues. I know some Alamo employees refused to work showings of it.

Guess it's a pretty fraught issue

I have been eagerly anticipating seeing "No Other Land" since I first read about it when it was in its festival run. There are two other documentaries that I recommend that should fit right alongside it: "Five Broken Cameras" and "Mayor" about the mayor of Ramallah. I would often think of those films during the last several months every time I would read the news.

"what’s going on with Iris might count as a big twist in a different film"

I'm 100% all for people who want to go into a movie "unspoiled", but I have no clue who would go see this movie without knowing what's going on. There (seemingly) isn't enough to movie to even describe without revealing it. The trailer doesn't even bother to hide it

"the film is more interested in the questions raised by Iris’ existence than turning her into a killing machine"

oooooookay. that trailer was completely misleading then, because I *really* thought it was just about a murderous killer sexbot played for kicks
