I saw STRANGERS a couple weeks back and can’t stop thinking about it. It’s my favorite film of the year after KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON.

Sneaking away from family to see all these is going to be a real challenge, BUT I AM EQUAL TO IT.

Curious about what a Cookie Monster might like here. Are you an indiscriminate cookie hog, shoveling boxes of store-bought Chips Ahoy down your throat? Or are you a connoisseur, experimenting with interesting flavor combinations or high-end chocolate chips? My friend made a sweet-and-savory cookie that involved cheddar in some way and it was mind-blowing. Where do you stand, Cookie Monster?

Honestly, both quantity and quality! There times when you want to shove giant cookie into mouth so crumbs fly everywhere, and there are times you want to go slowly and savor every crumb. It difference between binge-watching Fast and Furious movies to enjoy cheap thrill, and watching and rewatching Wes Anderson movie and noticing new details each time. Life has room for both!

Me would love to try that sweet and savory cookie! Me went through big sweet and salty phase, and sweet and savory really starting to grow on me!

After Aftersun, always happy to Paul Mezcal show up, whether in new films or Phoebe Bridgers lyrics.

I was hoping you guys would settle my internal debate between seeing a new Durkin film (yay!) and skipping a 2+ hour film on professional wrestling (uuuuugh). Your review makes it sound like I should skip it but also mentions Maura Tierney is in so now I’m really torn.

I saw MARTHA MARCY MAY MARLENE at my since-shuttered hometown Landmark, which was quite the experience

Some of the people who decide to see The Iron Claw based on the more or less uplifting tone of the trailer are going to need a lot of therapy afterwards.

Ha. This is true. On the other hand, the film tries to eke as much light as it can from the extreme darkness of this story.

I'm looking forward to it - it's a tough road to hoe when you have to completely write out one brother and his fate to avoid the movie being relentlessly bleak.

The most affecting moment in All of Us Strangers, for me, was Andrew Scott's line that he repeats to his mum: "Everything is different now." First, he says it because it's true. And second, he repeats it because it isn't true at all. Amazing, amazing work by Scott in that moment and every other second of this movie. I do wish the final twist wasn't there, but it's still one hell of a performance by all involved.
