With Mel Brooks’ memoir out and Keith writing this week about Brooks’ Silent Movie, it occurs to me that the spoof is an extremely narrow comic subgenre and a good spoof is much rarer still. But rather than ask you what your favorite spoof is, and likely getting back lots of Brooks or Zucker-Abrahams-Zucker movies in return, we want to dig a bit deeper.…
